Description
A cozy layered dessert featuring ripe bananas, silky pastry cream, and rich caramel, perfect for gatherings or a quiet afternoon.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup homemade pastry cream
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar, then press into the bottom of a dish to form a crust. Bake for 10 minutes and let it cool.
- Once the crust has cooled, spread half of the pastry cream over the crust, smoothing it out gently.
- Slice the ripe bananas and layer them generously on top of the pastry cream, creating a golden, inviting layer.
- Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the bananas, letting it cascade down the sides for that beautiful, alluring look.
- Spread half of the whipped cream over the caramel, creating a fluffy cloud of sweetness.
- Repeat the layers: add the remaining pastry cream, more bananas, a drizzle of caramel, and finally, the rest of the whipped cream.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes before serving, allowing the flavors to meld together beautifully.
