Description

A cozy layered dessert featuring ripe bananas, silky pastry cream, and rich caramel, perfect for gatherings or a quiet afternoon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup homemade pastry cream
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar, then press into the bottom of a dish to form a crust. Bake for 10 minutes and let it cool.
  2. Once the crust has cooled, spread half of the pastry cream over the crust, smoothing it out gently.
  3. Slice the ripe bananas and layer them generously on top of the pastry cream, creating a golden, inviting layer.
  4. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the bananas, letting it cascade down the sides for that beautiful, alluring look.
  5. Spread half of the whipped cream over the caramel, creating a fluffy cloud of sweetness.
  6. Repeat the layers: add the remaining pastry cream, more bananas, a drizzle of caramel, and finally, the rest of the whipped cream.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes before serving, allowing the flavors to meld together beautifully.
