Description

Classic oatmeal chocolate chip cookies that are chewy and comforting, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the rolled oats and chocolate chips gently.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden around the edges.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.

Notes
