Description

This Blueberry Cream Cheese Frosting adds a burst of flavor and color to any dessert, perfect for all occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 23 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh blueberries or 2 tbsp freeze-dried blueberries, powdered
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 tbsp milk (optional for consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until well combined.
  3. If using fresh blueberries, puree them and fold into the frosting. If using freeze-dried blueberries, add the powdered version directly.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. If the frosting is too thick, add a little milk to reach your desired consistency.
  6. Use immediately to frost cupcakes, layer cakes, or pancakes.

Notes

This frosting can be made a day in advance. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator and stir before using.
