Description

A comforting and easy-to-make bread pudding that warms the heart, perfect for gatherings and cool evenings.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups of bread (cubed)
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of raisins (optional)
  • 1/4 cup of butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Add in the cubed bread and stir gently until the bread is well-coated.
  4. Fold in the raisins if desired.
  5. Pour the melted butter into a baking dish, coating the bottom evenly.
  6. Spread the bread mixture into the baking dish evenly.
  7. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Make the mixture a day in advance for added flavor. Gluten-free bread can be used as a substitute.
