Description

Warm, tender Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread filled with sweet bananas and a delightful cinnamon swirl.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas with the melted butter until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix them in gently.
  5. Add the flour and stir until just incorporated, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Mix the cinnamon and brown sugar together in a separate bowl.
  7. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon and brown sugar mixture on top of the batter.
  9. Pour the remaining banana bread batter over the first layer and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon mixture on top.
  10. Take a knife and gently swirl the mixtures together, creating beautiful marbled patterns.
  11. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  12. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving this delicious bread.

Notes

For added crunch, consider mixing in chopped nuts or chocolate chips. The batter can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
