- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs

- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well until blended.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk until just mixed.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
- Mix together brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts for the topping and sprinkle half over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the crumb topping.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool slightly before cutting and serving warm.

You can prepare the batter the night before and refrigerate it for fresh baking in the morning.
