- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional for brightness)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Rinse the green beans under cold water and trim the stem ends. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the trimmed green beans, olive oil, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss until evenly coated.
- Spread the green beans in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
- Roast the green beans in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through.
- Once roasted, remove from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the hot beans. Toss gently.
- Drizzle with lemon juice if desired and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
You can prep the green beans and seasoning mix ahead of time. Store in the fridge until ready to roast.
