Description

A comforting dish of juicy chicken, salty ham, and creamy Swiss cheese drizzled with honey mustard sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup honey mustard sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying or baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking.
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown or bake on a baking sheet for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Top each chicken breast with a slice of ham and Swiss cheese.
  7. Drizzle honey mustard sauce over the top.
  8. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Make-ahead by assembling chicken without cheese and refrigerate until ready to bake.
