Description

A cozy and comforting bowl of creamy chicken soup, perfect for chilly evenings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cooked pasta (optional)
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine chicken broth, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a crock pot.
  2. Add the shredded chicken and stir until everything is evenly coated.
  3. Cook on low for 360-480 minutes or high for 180-240 minutes.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese about 30 minutes before serving.
  5. If using, add the cooked pasta and heat through for a few more minutes.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

Make-ahead magic: Prepare a day in advance and keep cheese and cream separate until serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
