Description

Delightful and easy cupcakes that are soft, tender, and perfect for cozy baking afternoons.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Optional: sprinkles or frosting for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs, one at a time, and beat until fully incorporated.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  7. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Refrigerate the batter for up to 2 days before baking. Experiment with different extracts for unique flavors.
