- 1 pound ground beef
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar or coconut sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 4 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until it’s no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet, letting them sizzle for 30 seconds.
- Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Allow the mixture to simmer for a minute or two.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed by adding more soy sauce or sugar.
- Serve this delightful Korean beef over steamed rice, in lettuce wraps, or as part of a hearty grain bowl. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
