Ingredients

  • 16 oz (450g) fresh whole mushrooms (button or cremini)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and trim the stems if necessary.
  3. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, and black pepper; mix well.
  4. Toss the cleaned mushrooms in the sauce until evenly coated.
  5. Arrange mushrooms on a baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes, tossing halfway through.

Notes

For variations, add lemon juice for zest, red pepper flakes for heat, or top with crème fraîche for richness.
