Description

A comforting and satisfying grilled steak bowl filled with juicy steak, grilled zucchini, and a flavorful sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound flank steak or sirloin steak
  • 2 medium zucchini, sliced into rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Set aside.
  3. Pat the steak dry with paper towels, rub it with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Toss the sliced zucchini in a bowl with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  5. Place the steak on the hot grill to cook for 4-6 minutes per side until desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  6. Grill the zucchini slices for about 3-4 minutes on each side until tender and marked.
  7. Assemble your bowls with steak and zucchini, drizzling the sauce generously on top.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the steak in the sauce overnight. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
