Description

A delightful and creamy ‘Hawaiian’ Fruit Salad that transports you to a tropical paradise, perfect for family gatherings or summer get-togethers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 30-oz can fruit cocktail in juice
  • 1 20-oz can pineapple chunks in juice
  • 1 8-oz can mandarin orange slices
  • 1 10-oz bag mini marshmallows
  • 1 24-oz container of sour cream
  • 1 box orange-flavored gelatin

Instructions

  1. Start by draining the fruit: Pour all the fruit into a colander over the sink and allow the juices to drain. For maximum dryness, let it sit for about four hours.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream with the orange jello. Stir until united.
  3. Gently fold in the drained fruit and mini marshmallows until well-coated.
  4. Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  5. Before serving, give the salad a gentle stir and enjoy chilled.

Notes

This fruit salad can be prepared a day in advance, and for optimal flavor, chill overnight. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
