Description
A cozy, creamy treat made with melted cheese and soft, sweet Hawaiian rolls, perfect for an easy meal or snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 Hawaiian rolls
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Optional: Sliced tomatoes or crispy turkey bacon
Instructions
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half without cutting all the way through.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and spread butter on the insides of each roll.
- Place the bottom halves of the rolls onto the skillet and fill them generously with Monterey Jack cheese.
- Press down slightly with the top halves to create a snug sandwich.
- Grill until golden brown on one side, about 3-4 minutes, then carefully flip over and grill the other side until crispy and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat, slice in half if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
For a zesty twist, try adding fresh basil or spicy jalapeños. Assemble sandwiches in advance and refrigerate before grilling.
