Description

A simple and refreshing recipe for homemade frozen yogurt, perfect for warm summer nights and customizable with various fruits and mix-ins.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen fruit (like strawberries, blueberries, or mango)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: a pinch of salt for added flavor

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit: If you’re using fresh fruit, rinse it thoroughly. For frozen fruit, let it soften slightly.
  2. Blend the ingredients: In a blender, combine Greek yogurt, fruit, honey, vanilla extract, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. Taste and adjust: If you want it sweeter, add more honey or syrup and blend again.
  4. Chill the mixture: Transfer to a flat container and spread evenly.
  5. Freeze: Place in the freezer for at least 3-4 hours, preferably overnight.
  6. Scoop and serve: Let sit for 10 minutes at room temperature before scooping. Serve in bowls with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use coconut yogurt. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
