Description

Delightfully creamy and rich Hot Chocolate Cookies, perfect for holiday baking adventures.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (milk, dark, or semi-sweet)
  • Optional: mini marshmallows for a delightful topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop dollops of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Press optional mini marshmallows atop each cookie.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are firm.
  10. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Dough can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated. Store in an airtight container.
