- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Combine the sugar and cocoa powder in a medium saucepan, stirring until well mixed.
- Add the heavy cream and butter, and set your burner to medium heat, stirring gently.
- Stir continuously until the mixture begins to boil.
- Allow it to boil for precisely one minute to thicken.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and pinch of salt.
- Cool slightly before serving over your favorite ice cream.
