Description
A quick and easy chocolate sorbet that’s rich, velvety, and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 1 cup of water
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or dark for a richer taste)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Combine the water and sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely, about 3–5 minutes.
- Add the cocoa powder and whisk continuously until fully incorporated.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until melted.
- Add the pinch of salt and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth.
- Cool the mixture to room temperature, then cover and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Pour the cooled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions, about 20 minutes.
- Spoon the sorbet into an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
For variations, try adding peppermint extract, cayenne pepper, fresh berries, or crushed nuts.
