Description

A delightful recipe for mini lahmacun bites topped with spiced meat and a cooling yogurt drizzle, perfect for gatherings or a cozy dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup ground beef or lamb
  • ½ onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, grated
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Mini pita or flatbreads
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or lamb, finely chopped onion, grated tomato, chopped parsley, paprika, cumin, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lay mini pita or flatbreads on a baking sheet.
  3. Spread the meat mixture evenly over each piece of bread.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until cooked through and the edges are golden brown.
  5. Prepare the yogurt drizzle by mixing yogurt, minced garlic, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
  6. Remove lahmacun bites from the oven and drizzle with the yogurt sauce. Serve warm.

Notes

Make ahead by preparing the meat mixture in advance. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
