Description
A cozy and comforting one-pan meal of tender chicken and creamy egg noodles, seasoned with garlic and butter.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1.5 lbs)
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 4 tbsp real butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients: Start by chopping your garlic and any desired vegetables you might want to include (like peas or diced carrots).
- Sear the chicken: In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for about 5 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add garlic: Once the chicken is nicely browned, toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth: Carefully add the chicken broth to the skillet and bring it to a gentle boil.
- Stir in noodles: Add the egg noodles to the boiling broth. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the noodles are al dente.
- Finish the dish: Remove the skillet from heat. Add the remaining butter and sprinkle chopped parsley over the top, stirring until the butter melts and coats everything in a luscious sauce.
