Description

A cozy, easy-to-make dinner that brings the family together with delicious flavors of chicken sausage and tender broccoli.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 chicken sausages, sliced
  • 2 cups steamed broccoli
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a large pan. Add the sliced chicken sausage and sauté until beautifully browned.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the orzo pasta to the pan, along with enough water or broth to cover completely. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  4. Cook the orzo until al dente, stirring occasionally.
  5. Once the orzo is ready, stir in the steamed broccoli and grated parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Make-ahead option: Prepare orzo and chicken sausage in advance, store separately in the refrigerator, and combine with broccoli and cheese when ready to serve.
