Description

A comforting recipe for Pig Shots that combines savory sausage and crispy turkey bacon, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 1 package smoked sausage (sliced into 1-inch pieces)
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 package turkey bacon (slices cut in half)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp BBQ rub (optional)
  • Toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the breakfast sausage, cream cheese, shredded cheese, brown sugar, and BBQ rub until combined.
  3. Take a slice of the smoked sausage and wrap a piece of turkey bacon around it, securing it with a toothpick.
  4. Fill the center of the wrapped sausage with the sausage and cheese mixture.
  5. Place on the grill and cook for about 25-30 minutes, brushing with BBQ sauce during the last 10 minutes.
