Description

A sweet and spicy delight, these chicken wings are perfect for any gathering or a cozy night in, combining pineapple juice and soy sauce for an explosion of flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  3. Combine the pineapple juice, brown sugar, jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, soy sauce, and black pepper in a bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Pour the marinade over the chicken wings and toss to coat. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a greased wire rack on top.
  6. Remove wings from the marinade and place them in a single layer on the rack.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy, brushing with reserved marinade for the last 10 minutes.
  8. Broil for the last 3-5 minutes if desired for extra crispiness.
  9. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the wings a day ahead. Serve warm and garnish with additional jalapeños if desired.
