Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, if desired. Sear the chicken breasts on both sides until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes per side).
  2. Add the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper into the crockpot. Stir to combine.
  3. Place the chicken breasts into the crockpot and gently coat them with the sauce mixture.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 360 minutes or on high for 240 minutes until the chicken is tender.
  5. Shred the chicken with two forks in the crockpot, stirring into the sauce.
  6. Stir in the sour cream and garnish with cheese and parsley, if desired.
