Description

A succulent, tender beef brisket slowly cooked to perfection with aromatic spices, ideal for family gatherings and cozy meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 45 pounds beef brisket
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano

Instructions

  1. Season the brisket generously with salt, pepper, paprika, brown sugar, cumin, and oregano.
  2. Place the sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  3. Lay the seasoned brisket right on top of the onions and garlic.
  4. Pour the beef broth over the brisket.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and let it cook on low for 480-600 minutes.
  6. Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing or shredding.
  7. Serve as desired, perhaps with a side of creamy mashed potatoes or crusty bread.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the brisket overnight. Leftovers can be used in sandwiches or tacos and can be refrigerated or frozen for later.
