- 2 lbs chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Add the chicken, onion, garlic, ginger, and crushed tomatoes to a slow cooker.
- Sprinkle with garam masala, cumin, paprika, and salt.
- Cook on low for 360 minutes or high for 240 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Stir in the heavy cream and butter, and let it warm up for about 30 minutes.
- Serve over rice or with naan, garnished with fresh cilantro.
Notes
For best results, prepare the chicken and spices the night before and refrigerate. This dish can also be made vegetarian by using chickpeas or diced potatoes.
