- 1/3 cup melted butter

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
- Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
- Stir in the sugar, the beaten egg, and the vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually mix in the flour until just incorporated.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
