A cozy treat combining flaky croissant dough with a sweet cinnamon sugar coating and optional fillings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package of croissant dough
- 1 cup cinnamon sugar (1/2 cup sugar + 1 tablespoon cinnamon)
- Oil for frying or melted butter for baking
- Optional filling (e.g., chocolate, dulce de leche)
- Pinch of salt

- Roll out the croissant dough on a clean surface and cut into triangles.
- Add your desired filling at the wide end of each triangle and roll tightly to encase it.
- Shape the rolled dough into muffin-like forms or twist for a playful look.
- For fried cruffins, carefully place them in hot oil and fry until golden brown. For baked cruffins, brush tops with melted butter and bake until puffy and golden.
- Roll cooked cruffins in cinnamon sugar while still hot.
- Let cool slightly and serve warm with extra cinnamon sugar on top.
