- 2 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Mash the bananas and mix with milk, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Sprinkle yeast over the mixture and let sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour and salt gradually, mixing until incorporated.
- Knead dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour, until it doubles in size.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and sprinkle evenly with cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Roll up tightly into a log, slice into rolls, and place in a greased baking dish.
- Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon juice for frosting until smooth and creamy.
- Drizzle the frosting over the warm rolls and serve immediately.
