Description

A delightful and comforting Brown Sugar Buttercream Frosting that adds warmth and sweetness to any dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 34 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine the brown sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring continuously until the sugar has melted. Allow it to cool slightly.
  2. Cream the softened butter in a mixing bowl until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add in the powdered sugar gradually, mixing until creamy.
  4. Pour the cooled brown sugar syrup and add the vanilla extract, mixing until smooth and fluffy.
  5. Use the frosting immediately to top cakes, cupcakes, or create cookie sandwiches.

Notes

Store leftover frosting in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Re-whip before use.
