Description

A delightful homemade banana bread sweetened naturally with honey, perfect for breakfast or as a nutritious snack.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted coconut oil into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the honey and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in thoroughly.
  6. Add the flour and ground cinnamon (if using) and stir until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix!
  7. Fold in the nuts if desired.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, using a spatula to smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Can be customized with chocolate chips, spices, or citrus zest. Best stored in an airtight container.
