Description

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 apples, cored and sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet and brown the chicken thighs on both sides until golden.
  2. Remove the chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion until it turns translucent.
  3. Pour in the apple cider and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and let it braise for 30 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream to create the velvety sauce.
  6. Caramelize the apple slices in a separate pan until golden.
  7. Serve the chicken topped with the creamy sauce and caramelized apples, garnished with fresh thyme.
