Instructions

- Whisk together the buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients gently, being careful to avoid over-mixing.
- Fold in your choice of chocolate chips, berries, or nuts if desired.
- Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool slightly before removing from the tin and enjoy warm.
