Description

A delightful and nostalgic treat featuring fluffy white cake soaked in strawberry jello, topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package white cake mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs (or 4 egg whites)
  • 1 package strawberry jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 8 oz whipped topping
  • 12 strawberries (cut in half)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper or spray with nonstick spray.
  2. Combine the cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs in a mixing bowl. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly. Bake for 28-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool for at least an hour.
  5. Poke holes in the cake using a wooden spoon or fork.
  6. Mix the boiling water with the strawberry jello until dissolved.
  7. Pour the jello mixture over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
  8. Cover the cake with whipped topping and garnish with halved strawberries after letting the jello set for about 30 minutes.
  9. Cut into squares, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

Store any leftover cake in the fridge for up to 3 days.
