Description

A comforting dish of tender leeks infused with butter and fresh herbs, perfect for an elegant weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 23 large leeks
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (such as thyme or parsley)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Trim the leeks and remove any tough outer layers. Cut them in half lengthwise.
  3. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and fresh herbs, stirring until fragrant and inviting.
  4. Place the leeks cut-side down in the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown and tender.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to enhance the flavors.
  6. Carefully flip the leeks over, pour in the beef broth, and bring to a simmer.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the leeks are so tender they can be easily cut with a fork.
  8. Serve warm, basting with the pan juices for an added burst of flavor.

Notes

Feel free to customize with different herbs or broth for a unique flavor profile. Leftover Fondant Leeks can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
