- 2–3 large leeks
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (such as thyme or parsley)
- 1 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Trim the leeks and remove any tough outer layers. Cut them in half lengthwise.
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and fresh herbs, stirring until fragrant and inviting.
- Place the leeks cut-side down in the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown and tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to enhance the flavors.
- Carefully flip the leeks over, pour in the beef broth, and bring to a simmer.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the leeks are so tender they can be easily cut with a fork.
- Serve warm, basting with the pan juices for an added burst of flavor.
