- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl until well combined.
- Mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil in a separate bowl until combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, adding the vanilla extract afterward.
- Stir in the dry ingredients gradually until just combined.
- Chill the dough for about 30 minutes.
- Form the dough into small balls and roll them in powdered sugar until coated.
- Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between them.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set and centers remain soft.
- Cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
These cookies can be frozen for up to 3 months. Just roll in powdered sugar before baking directly from the freezer.
