Description

A comforting garlic parmesan rice recipe that’s quick, simple, and perfect for cozy weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add in the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Add the uncooked rice to the saucepan and stir to coat it in the garlic and butter.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and let it simmer for about 18-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the parmesan cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Can be made ahead and reheated with a splash of broth to keep it creamy. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
