- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add in the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the uncooked rice to the saucepan and stir to coat it in the garlic and butter.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and let it simmer for about 18-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and stir in the parmesan cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.
Notes
Can be made ahead and reheated with a splash of broth to keep it creamy. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
