Description
A comforting and creamy pasta dish with tender chicken coated in a luscious honey-garlic sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz rotini pasta
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Start by cooking the rotini pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Sear the chicken: In a skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes on each side.
- Prepare the sauce: Mix the honey and minced garlic in a bowl. Pour this mixture over the cooked chicken in the skillet, cooking for an additional 2 minutes to thicken.
- Slice the chicken: Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest before slicing to retain juiciness.
- Make the creamy sauce: Add the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet, stirring continuously until melted and creamy.
- Combine the pasta: Add the cooked rotini to the creamy sauce, stirring to coat well.
- Serve and garnish: Plate the creamy rotini and top with sliced honey garlic chicken. Sprinkle fresh parsley on top.
