Description

Delight in a comforting bowl of tender marinated steak, fluffy rice, and vibrant stir-fried vegetables, perfect for an easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (minced)
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (like bell peppers and carrots)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger. Add the steak, ensuring it’s well coated, and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the steak: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated steak to your desired doneness (about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare), then remove from heat and slice thinly against the grain.
  3. Stir-Fry the vegetables: In the same skillet, add your mixed vegetables. Stir-fry until tender and vibrant, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Make the spicy cream sauce: In a small bowl, mix sour cream, gochujang, and honey until creamy and smooth. Adjust the spiciness to your liking!
  5. Assemble the bowls: Serve the cooked rice in individual bowls. Top with sliced steak, followed by the stir-fried vegetables. Drizzle generously with the spicy cream sauce.
  6. Garnish & serve: Finish off with a sprinkle of finely chopped green onions and sesame seeds before enjoying your delightful creation!

Notes

You can marinate the steak the night before for added convenience.
