- 1 pound sausage (beef or your favorite alternative)
- 1 jar marinara sauce
- 12 ounces spaghetti
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Once browned, add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, letting it simmer for about 5-10 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Layer half of the cooked spaghetti in a baking dish, followed by half of the ricotta cheese, half of the sausage mixture, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, finishing with a layer of mozzarella.
- Top off the dish with the remaining grated Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. After that, uncover it and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until it’s bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool slightly, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
