Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ribeye steak
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 hoagie rolls
Instructions
- Slice the ribeye: Using a sharp knife, slice the ribeye steak thinly against the grain.
- Cook the steak: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the sliced ribeye. Cook until tender and browned, about 3–4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Caramelize the onions: In the same skillet, melt the butter and add the onions along with minced garlic. Sauté until the onions are golden brown, about 8–10 minutes.
- Assemble the sandwich: Return the cooked steak to the skillet, mixing it with the caramelized onions. Place this mixture on the hoagie rolls, topping it with slices of provolone cheese.
- Melt the cheese: Place the assembled sandwiches under a broiler for a minute or two or cover the skillet until the cheese melts.
- Serve hot: Enjoy your cozy sandwiches while they’re warm and melty!
Notes
