Description

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. Beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add the egg, food coloring, and vanilla extract, then mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in the white chocolate chunks.
  5. Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Chill the dough for 30 minutes for better shape retention. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week.
