Description

A comforting and easy Slow Cooker Lasagna that brings warmth and joy, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 912 lasagna noodles
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 1 lb ground beef (or sausage)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the meat: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef (or sausage) with the chopped onions and minced garlic until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Layer the ingredients: Spread a layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of your slow cooker. Break the lasagna noodles to fit and place them over the sauce.
  3. Add the cheese and meat: Spoon a dollop of ricotta cheese, followed by a generous sprinkle of mozzarella and then the browned meat mixture.
  4. Repeat the layers: Continue layering the ingredients — marinara sauce, broken lasagna noodles, ricotta, mozzarella, and meat — until all ingredients are used, making sure the final layer is mozzarella cheese on top.
  5. Season it well: Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the final layer.
  6. Slow cook: Cover and cook on low for about 240-360 minutes (4-6 hours). The lasagna is ready when the noodles are tender and the cheese is melted.
  7. Rest before serving: Allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
