Description

A tender and juicy smoked turkey breast recipe perfect for family gatherings and festive feasts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole turkey breast
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • Wood chips for smoking (e.g., hickory or applewood)
  • Turkey drippings (for gravy)
  • Flour (for gravy)
  • Chicken broth (for gravy)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Season the turkey breast generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Place the seasoned turkey breast in the smoker and smoke for about 180-240 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  4. Remove the turkey from the smoker and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
  5. Collect the drippings from the turkey into a saucepan and over medium heat, add flour to whisk until golden brown.
  6. Gradually whisk in chicken broth until the mixture thickens and is smooth.
  7. Serve the sliced turkey breast drizzled with the smoked turkey gravy.

Notes

Make ahead by smoking the turkey a day in advance. Always slice against the grain for the best texture.
