- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup milk (warm)
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 packet yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Mix the sourdough starter, flour, and a bit of milk to create a dough.
- Combine dark brown sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread the melted butter evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon mixture generously over the dough.
- Roll the dough into a log and cut it into individual rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking pan.
- Pour the heavy cream over the rolls before baking.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For best results, prepare the dough the night before and allow it to rise in the fridge overnight.
