Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk (warm)
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 packet yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Mix the sourdough starter, flour, and a bit of milk to create a dough.
  2. Combine dark brown sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  3. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  4. Spread the melted butter evenly over the dough.
  5. Sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon mixture generously over the dough.
  6. Roll the dough into a log and cut it into individual rolls.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking pan.
  8. Pour the heavy cream over the rolls before baking.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, prepare the dough the night before and allow it to rise in the fridge overnight.
