Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 box brownie mix
  • 1/2 cup hot fudge
  • Brownie chunks for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
  2. Melt the butter and mix with granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
  3. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the brownie batter.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  9. Allow cupcakes to cool completely.
  10. Prepare brownie mix frosting according to package directions and frost the cooled cupcakes.
  11. Drizzle hot fudge over the frosting and top with brownie chunks.
  12. Serve and enjoy your cupcakes!
