Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 4 slices of bread
- Butter for toasting
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the diced onion and garlic until soft, stirring occasionally.
- Add the ground beef, seasoning it with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
- Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted.
- Butter one side of each bread slice generously.
- Place a generous amount of the beef and cheese mixture between two slices of bread, with the buttered side facing out.
- Grill each sandwich on medium heat until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is gooey, about 3–4 minutes on each side.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
The beef and cheese mixture can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge. This dish is perfect for customizing with different toppings and cheese varieties.
