Delicious and comforting Sourdough Garlic Bread infused with roasted garlic and aromatic seasonings, perfect as a side dish or appetizer.

- 14 oz Sourdough Loaf
- 10 tbsp Butter (unsalted)
- 12 cloves Garlic (peeled)
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 2 tbsp Parsley (roughly chopped, plus more for garnish)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1/4 tsp Sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350℉.
- Slice the sourdough loaf into 1-inch slices, making sure not to cut all the way through the bottom.
- Place the loaf onto a parchment or foil-lined sheet pan.
- In a small ramekin, add the garlic cloves and red pepper flakes, then cover with olive oil.
- Place it in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the garlic is fork-tender.
- Remove the garlic from the oil and use a fork to smash the garlic cloves until creamy.
- Combine the softened butter, cooked garlic, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, parsley, and Parmesan cheese in a small bowl.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture into all the slits in the bread.
- Wrap the bread in foil and bake it for 15 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to achieve a golden, crispy top.
Notes
Prepare the garlic butter ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for a few days. Wrap leftovers tightly in foil and store in the fridge for up to three days.
